Pull on your warm shoes, it is going to be a frosty Carnival Monday!

On Canrnival Monday mostly clouded skies with some sun only in the South of the country, at the Alps and eastern Bavaria. Elsewhere some snow flakes might come down. Strong frost will accompany all processions on Shrove Monday. Especially in the strongholds of carnival like Cologne or Mainz it stays icy around minus 6° to minus 8° celsius. Same temperatures will hit the East of the country. Only in the South and the at North Sea , we expect higher temperatures.

From the South there will be more mild and sunny weather comming up on Mardi Gras. Only in the East and in the North temperatures stay frosty, but will rise also during day time. Ash Wednesday will come with dingy and cloudy weather with mild temperatures in the South: up to 5°. On Thursday it gets warmer all over the country.
