Cold but only little snow falls. More dry but with danger of freezing rain in the East of Germany
Only little more snow will come down on Thursday and it gets more dry. In the East of the country the danger of glassy roads will occur, even with little precipitation, because earth is frozen after the strong frost of the last weeks. It stays mostly cloudy and maximum temperatures will be around 5° in Central Germany and around 0° in the North and the South of the country.

More heavy snow falls in the South, gusty winds and snow banks.
In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday and on Wednesday new snow falls approaching Germany. Especially in Baden-Württemberg and in Bavaria heavy snow fall are coming up. In some parts this means more than 20 cm of fresh snow. As winds are very gusty we expect snow banks in open areas. Also the highways will be struck.
Maximum temperatures for tomorrow from 0° to minus 7°.

For the weekend we expect milder temperatures in the West and South but partly strong frost in the East and at the Baltic Sea.

Besonders im Süden kräftige Schneefälle, teils Schneeverwehungen
Aus Westen kommen dichte Schneewolken nach Deutschland. So bleibt es am Dienstag meist wolkenverhangen. Richtig kräftig schneit es in der Nacht auf Dienstag und tagsüber vor allem in Bayern und Baden-Württemberg. Hier kommen nochmals einige Zentimeter Neuschnee zusammen. Bis Dienstag Abend können, je nach Lage 10 bis 30 Zentimeter fallen, in den Alpen auch mehr.
Dazu ist bei stark böigem Wind teils mit erheblichen Schneeverwehungen zu rechnen. Davon werden auch Autobahnen betroffen sein. Stellen Sie sich auf erhebliche Behinderungen ein.
Die Höchstwerte liegen meist leicht im Fostbereich, nur im Westen leicht Plusgrade. Achtung Am Dienstag Abend kann im Westen auch gefrierender Regen fallen.
Weitere Aussichten
In der Nacht zum Mittwoch in der Mitte und im Süden weitere, teils ergiebige Schneefälle und extreme Glätte durch Schnee oder Eis auf allen Straßen. Am Mittwoch vor allem an den Alpen weiterer Schneefall, sonst nachlassen der Schneeschauer.
Am Donnerstag freundlicher, wechslend bewölkt, an den Alpen teils Sonne, kalt.

On Saturday predominantly densely clouded. Sun will only be seen at the coast line. Snow showers in the middle and the South of Germany. Especially in the Alps more fresh snow will come down. Temperatures will shift between minus 3° and 0° near the Rhine. In the East of the country it stays frosty , down to minus 6° as well as in the Alps and the Bavarian Forest.

On Sunday a little bit friendlier, with some sun rays and only few snow showers. Maximum temperatures around 0° in the North. In the rest of the country it stays lightly frosty.

More snow falls from are coming down in the night from Thursday to Friday especially in the West of Germany. During Friday the snow takes its way to the East and South, Temperatures will be around 0° with light frost at the Alps.

Saturday comes with more snow falls in the South and freezing rain and sleet in the rest of Germany. Temperatures going down again to minus 4°-7° at the Baltic Sea and the Alps and 0° to -3° in the rest of the country. On Sunday mostly dry with aereating clouds.
